Harbour

Ships whose masts are torn in violent storms
Come for refuge- we think we have found them.

They do not see us-only the distance.
We mend, repair. They go, we stay.

Then at night- let it be the last, last.
Send no others! we beg of the sea.

And our loneliness grows
More monstrous still.
